Being a practical kind of Chap I was happy to help Hooky Players to set up the stage for their shows when my wife Karen joined the Players in 2015.

Since then, I’ve helped with every production in one capacity or another, mostly moving stuff about, and building the set and then dismantling it at the end of the run.

I always enjoy the shows and being part of the group as a whole, but my actual claim to fame is playing the giant chicken in George marvellous medicine-a non-speaking role which drew lots of laughs.

I quite often attend the meetings and join in on social events and as a couple, we love to host the annual Hooky Players barbecue in our garden
